Ohwa Theological School Visit

The terms of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)between the Pacific Theological College (PTC) and the Ohwa Theological School of the United Church of Christ in Pohnpei (UCCP) was presented to and accepted by the church council meeting this morning. Senator Shelton Neth, the church’s board of education chair with the Director Institute for Mission and Research Aisake Casimira shared the terms of the MOU with the members of the UCCP council. The MOU defines the setup of Ohwa as the Northern campus for the Pasifika Communities University (PCU) that PTC is transitioning into.

The President of the United Church of Christ in Pohnpei Honorable Nickontro W. Johnny in the Federated States of Micronesia said he will leave this world a happy man knowing his alma mater Ohwa Theological School will become the northern campus of the Pasifika Communities University (PCU) that the Pacific Theological College (PTC) is transitioning into. Honorable Johnny took PTC Director of the Institute for Mission and Research Aisake Casimira and Communications Coordinator Theresa Fox on a tour of the proposed Ohwa campus this week. The details of the Memorandum of Understanding between PTC and Ohwa Theological School is being presented to members of the UCCP council meeting held at the FSM capital Kolonia today. The collaboration between PTC and Ohwa brings together two institutions that have produced leaders within the Pacific Islands region. The proposed campus will serve the Micronesian island countries and even beyond.
