Project Officer – Coordination of Learning and Exchange

The Pacific Theological College is an ecumenical institution serving the Pacific region. The person
appointed is expected to be sympathetic to the aspirations of the region’s island nations, open to the diversity
and values of their cultures, and willing to serve in an ecumenical community.

The Institute for Mission and Research (IMR) of PTC invites applications for the position of Project
Officer- Coordination of Learning and Exchange.

Role:
Reporting to the Director, the Project Officer will:

1. Coordinate the Institute’s learning and exchange programmes, which include the following:

a) Plan and monitor the institute’s annual schedules on students’ learning and exchange activities
b) Organise and manage the mentoring visits to students in their communities of learning
c) Liaise with the local and regional partners on the training schedule, students and fees
d) Plan, manage and monitor the annual budget for the learning and exchange activities
e) Update the database regularly with the support of the administration and project assistant

f) Produce internal reports on the learning and exchange activities of the institute

2. Prepare information and effectively promote the institute’s learning and exchange.

3. Integrate learnings from each year’s learning and exchange activities into annual planning.

4. Accountable to the Director in all matters.

Qualification and Skills Required:
• Undergraduate degree in education, or in any of the Social Sciences or in theology.
• At least five years of experience in course delivery and community education work.
• Excellent oral, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Openness to learning and working as a team to deliver the best results.
• Enthusiastic, motivating, creative and able to relate to all levels of people.
• Ability to meet deadlines and commitments under minimum supervision.
