Kiribati Uniting Church (KUC)

The Kiribati Uniting Church (KUC) affirmed its commitment and support of the Pacific Theological College’s (PTC) transition to the Pasifika Communities University (PCU). General Secretary of KUC General Secretary Rev. Mareweia Riteti said PCU will be meeting the needs of KUC because it will be offering courses like a Master’s in Ecumenism that his church usually sent student to Europe to study. Rev Marewaia made the comments after PTC Principal Rev. Professor Dr Upolu Vaai presented a university transition update to the KUC executive council at the church headquarters in Antebuka, Tarawa. While in Kiribati, Rev. Upolu also met with PTC alumni, visited Tangintebu Theological College and the Kiribati Protestant Church, whose students also attend PTC.
