Fiji Day Festivities at PTC

Early congratulations to Fiji for your wonderful achievement as a nation, 53 years young! The PTC community celebrated Fiji’s 53rd anniversary as an independent nation ahead of the October 10th public holiday in Fiji. The Fijian ethnic community had hosted Pasifika communities to a church service that morning, followed by a sumptuous lunch of Fijian delicacies and delights. Acting Registrar Dr. Eci Naisele had mentioned that Fiji is a nation of diverse peoples and cultures, and this was the Fiji they celebrated that day. Principal Rev Professor Upolu Vaai had cut the Fiji Day cake with 76-year-old Asinate Vakamino, who was a Bachelor of Divinity student and was also celebrating her birthday that day.
