On October 21st 2009, at the Jovili Meo Mission Centre of PTC, Professor Vijay Naidu launched the PTC-producd book “The Pacific Islands at the Beginning of the 21st Century”. Professor Naidu is Head of the School of Government, Development and International Affairs, in the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of the South Pacific.
The book provides information, orientation and insights regarding recent developments and trends in the different societies regarding politics, society, religion and culture in the region.
Professor Naidu is pictured here with Dr Manfred Ernst, Director of PTC’s Institute for Research and Social Analysis and Mrs Tessa Mackenzie, Chairperson of the Institute’s Strategic Think Tank and joint copy editor of the publication. The IRSA published the book in collaboration with the Association of Christian Churches and Missions in Germany.
Journalists, diplomats and government authorities were present at the event.
