Principal’s Visit to Cook Islands Congregational Church

The college Principal, Rev Professor Dr Upolu Luma Vaai, this week was hosted by the Cook Islands Congregational Church in Rarotonga discussing the vision of the College towards a ‘Whole of Life’ theological learning grounded in a communities-based approach. He met with the church leadership and executive, PTC alumni, the Takamoa theological college leadership on ongoing assistance from PTC and delivered two lectures on ‘whole of life’ Pasifika theologies. He also met with Acting Prime Minister Hon. Robert Tapaitau on possible Cook Is. government assistance for CICC scholarships to PTC. The Principal also raised with the Acting PM concerns, from PTC and Pacific churches perspective, regarding Cook Is stance with Deep Sea Mining. He was farewelled by both the CICC leadership and the Samoan association in Rarotonga.
