NZ High Commissioner visits PTC

New Zealand High Commissioner Jonathan Curr hailed as impressive plans for additional learning by the Pacific Theological College. Commissioner Curr visited PTC this afternoon and met with the Principal Rev Professor Upolu Vaai and advisors Professor Derrick Armstrong and Ms Emele Duituturaga. Principal Rev. Professor Vaai briefed Commissioner Curr on the development of courses related to ecology, resilience development, indigenous knowledge connections with climate change and Pacific philosophies that promotes a ‘Whole of Life’ vision and advocates for a new story of development. They help promote a new Pasifika consciousness. Dr. Vaai said the College has produced over 56 years of its existence, theological leaders for the region. It is also committed to seeing its graduates are aware of social justice issues that cause suffering and will advocate to alleviate such.
