Last Friday, the Pacific Theological College and the Pacific Regional Seminary came together in a beautiful display of ecumenism. The day kicked off with fun and games, from coconut scraping competitions to sack races and basket weaving at the PTC grounds.
In the afternoon, we gathered for worship, strengthening our ecumenical and spiritual ties at the Islander Missionaries Memorial Chapel, followed by an evening filled with island entertainment and meaningful talanoa. This initiative, led by PTC Principal Rev. Professor Upolu Vaai in collaboration with PRS Interim Rector Father Okusitino Ulupano and their dedicated faculty, emphasised the importance of unity. Professor Vaai noted that these shared moments forge strength and solidarity in our theology as people of Pasifika.
The bonds formed during this gathering will nurture future leaders of churches across the region, empowering us to face shared adversities together. Here’s to our continued journey in faith and fellowship!
