Faculty – Biblical Studies

The Department offers courses and supervision in all academic programmes at PTC, including PTCEE, our distance education wing.

Our strength lies in

  • working with students to develop their specific perspectives on the interpretation of the Scriptures, especially in ways of integrating this with the life reality of different Pacific Island cultures and societies;
  • integrated language teaching: we do not just teach introductory Biblical Hebrew and Hellenistic Greek, but follow up with Greek / Hebrew reading classes for all who have passed their initial courses in the language;
  • intensive supervision at postgraduate level.
